Cabinet Project vs Allmoxy: the factory's order portal or the dealer's own system
Allmoxy and Cabinet Project both talk about quotes, orders and payments, so they get compared. They sit on opposite sides of the same order. Allmoxy is run by the business that makes the product: a production cabinet shop or a door and drawer-box maker puts its catalog in Allmoxy, and its dealers configure, price and order there. Cabinet Project is run by the dealer or installer: the homeowner's quote, the order to the manufacturer, the delivery check and the install.
What it costs
| Product and plan | Price | Who runs it |
|---|---|---|
| Allmoxy | Not published; the site offers "Talk to sales" and "Find my fit" | The manufacturer: component makers, production cabinet shops that sell through dealers, and custom shops |
| Cabinet Project Solo | $59/mo or $590 a year | The dealer or installer, one user |
| Cabinet Project Team | $99/mo or $990 a year | The same for three users |
Allmoxy does not publish a price on its site, so there is no number to put here. Cabinet Project plans are per company, monthly or annual, with a 14-day trial and no card.
Where Allmoxy is the better tool
- You make the product and sell it through dealers. Allmoxy's order portal lets your dealers configure and price your catalog themselves, and it generates production files, shipping documents and invoices when the order lands. Cabinet Project does not take orders from other businesses or produce anything for a shop floor.
- A catalog with rules. Allmoxy says no catalog is too custom. Cabinet Project quotes the SKUs a manufacturer publishes.
- It sits next to shop software. Allmoxy lists Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, Mozaik, KCD and SketchUp among the tools it works around.
Where Cabinet Project is the better tool
- You are the dealer. Your homeowner never sees the manufacturer's portal. Cabinet Project imports each manufacturer's price list, applies your multiplier and sends a quote with your logo; the customer approves and pays the deposit in your portal.
- More than one manufacturer. A dealer who sells two or three lines keeps them in one catalog and compares them on the same kitchen, then sends each order as a PO (PDF or CSV), or keys it into the manufacturer's own portal, Allmoxy or another, from the approved list.
- After the order. The delivery check box by box with photo claims, the install schedule, the punch list, the final invoice and QuickBooks Online.
- The phone at the jobsite, in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Which one are you looking for?
If you make cabinets, doors or drawer boxes and want your dealers to order online, look at Allmoxy. If you buy from manufacturers and sell and install the kitchen, look at dealer software; you can use it with a manufacturer that takes orders in Allmoxy. The four kinds of cabinet software are laid out in cabinet estimating software: which kind fits a dealer or installer, and the dealer side in Cabinet Project for RTA cabinet dealers.
