Software for RTA and semi-custom cabinet dealers
An RTA or semi-custom dealer lives on thin margins between a manufacturer's list price and the homeowner's budget. The work is the same every job: price the boxes right, order them right, catch what arrives broken, and get the crew in. Cabinet Project is built around exactly that job, not around design renderings or a generic trade.

Why the multiplier matters here
RTA and semi-custom lines are sold from a list price with a dealer discount, usually expressed as a multiplier: a 0.42 multiplier means you pay 42% of list. Your quotes depend on that number being right for each manufacturer, and on nobody else seeing it. In Cabinet Project the multiplier is a company setting, set for the company, a manufacturer or a single line, and it never reaches the customer's PDF or the portal. Salespeople see selling prices; only people with the pricing settings permission see cost. The arithmetic is in how to quote a 10x10 kitchen with list price × multiplier, and you can run it in the cabinet cost calculator.
SKUs, not line items
Generic field-service apps keep a price book of items you type. A dealer's catalog is hundreds of SKUs per door style: B24, SB36, W3030, DB18, LS36, BBC42. Cabinet Project reads those codes, knows a W3030 is a 30″ wide, 30″ high wall cabinet, and draws it to size. If your team is new to the codes, the cabinet SKU codes guide and the SKU decoder explain them.
What you will not find
- No direct manufacturer ordering. The PO goes out by e-mail, the way most RTA distributors receive it.
- No catalog service. You load your own price lists; a Starter sizes line lets you draw before the first list is in, with zero prices on purpose.
- No photoreal design studio. The layout is for a correct box list and a clear picture, not for renderings with lighting.
- No inventory of boxes in your warehouse.
Size of shop it fits
Plans are per company, not per seat: Solo for one person at $59 a month, Team for three at $99, Shop for five, Crew for ten. Every paid plan has the whole workflow and a 14-day trial without a card. The app runs in English, Spanish and Portuguese, which matters for dealers whose installers prefer one of the other two; see the page for cabinet installers. Comparing with what you use today? Questions
Which manufacturers can I use?
Any line you sell. You load its price list from the PDF, a photo of the page or a CSV and set your multiplier per manufacturer or per line. There is no direct ordering integration with manufacturers; the order goes out as a PO in PDF or CSV.
I sell several manufacturers. Can each have its own multiplier?
Yes. Multipliers are set for the company, per manufacturer and per line, and the most specific one wins on every quote.
Is it for cabinet shops that build boxes?
No. Cabinet manufacturing, CNC and cut lists are out of scope. It is for dealers who buy manufactured RTA or semi-custom boxes and sell and install them.
