Cabinet SKU decoder
Cabinet SKUs are a short code for the box: letters for the type, digits for the size in inches. Type or paste a list, separated by spaces, commas or new lines, and the decoder reads each one with the same prefix table Cabinet Project uses to import a manufacturer's price list.

| SKU | What it is | Kind | Width | Height | Depth | Suffix |
|---|
Depths are nominal (24 inches for base and tall, 12 for wall, 21 for vanity) and base height is the usual 34½ inches before the countertop. Your manufacturer's spec book is the authority for its own line.
How the codes are read
- Base: B, SB (sink base), DB (drawer base), LS and BLS (lazy susan), BBC (blind corner base), DSB (diagonal sink base). Digits are the width: B24 is 24 inches.
- Wall: W, WBC (wall blind corner), WDC and DCW (diagonal corner wall), WM (microwave), WS and OH (shelves). Width, then height: W3015 is 30 wide by 15 high, the size that goes over a refrigerator.
- Tall: U, T, P, UT, PC and OV (oven). Width, then height: U2496 is a 24 by 96 inch pantry.
- Vanity: V, VSB, VDB. Fillers: F, WF, BF, TF; one odd digit is the width, so F3 is a 3 inch filler and WF330 is 3 wide by 30 high.
- Moldings (CM, CR, LR, SM, TK, BM, LM) and panels (DWP, BEP, REP, WEP, PNL, FP) are priced each or per stick and have no box width.
The full explanation, with the exceptions that trip people up, is in cabinet SKU codes explained. For box sizes by type, see standard kitchen cabinet sizes.
Why it matters on a quote
The width in the SKU is what turns a box list into linear feet for labor, and the prefix is what tells a quote which boxes are base, wall or tall. When Cabinet Project imports a price list from a PDF or a spreadsheet, a missing type is deduced from the SKU this way and flagged for you to confirm in the review. Try the linear feet calculator or the cabinet cost calculator with the same SKUs.
Questions
What does W3030 mean?
A wall cabinet 30 inches wide and 30 inches high. On wall and tall SKUs the first two digits are the width and the next two the height, in inches.
What does the letter after the numbers mean, as in B15R?
Letters after the size are the manufacturer's own option codes, often the hinge side or a door or drawer variant. They are not standard across brands, so read them in that line's spec book.
Is SB36 the same width as B36?
Yes, both are 36 inches wide. SB is a sink base: no drawer box and an open back for the plumbing, so the sink can sit in it.
