Cabinet Project vs 2020 Design Live, now Design Flex
2020 Design Live is the kitchen design program many dealers learned on. Cyncly now sells it as Design Flex. Cabinet Project is for the same dealers and their installer crews: it draws the kitchen too, then quotes it by SKU, orders it from the manufacturer, checks the delivery and runs the install. This page puts the published prices side by side and says where each one is the better tool.

Cyncly sells Design Flex by the year and offers monthly payments over 3, 6, 12 or 24 months, or PayPal Credit. The pricing page says all plans include 12 months of updates. Cabinet Project plans are per company, monthly or annual, with a 14-day trial and no card.
Where Design Flex is the better tool
- Manufacturer catalogs kept for you. Cyncly calls its selection of manufacturer catalogs and supplier integrations the largest in the industry. In Cabinet Project you import your manufacturer's price list, or start from one of the public catalogs we load.
- Presentation renders. Design Flex renders with the Cycles engine on the desktop. Cabinet Project gives the homeowner a 3D view they turn on a phone and AI renders of the drawn kitchen, not ray-traced scenes.
- Closets and storage. The full Design Flex plan includes closet design. Cabinet Project draws kitchens and baths by the manufacturer's SKUs.
Where Cabinet Project is the better tool
- The job after the drawing. Customer approval and deposit in a portal, the order to the manufacturer, the delivery check with photo claims, the install schedule, the punch list with the homeowner's sign-off, and QuickBooks Online.
- Your multiplier on every SKU. The quote prices each box at list times your multiplier, with your markup and install labor by linear foot or box.
- The phone at the jobsite, in English, Spanish and Portuguese, on a phone, a tablet or the web. Design Flex is desktop software.
Using both
Many dealers keep designing in 2020 and run the job somewhere else. In 2020 Design, open Reports, Cabinet List, choose Manufacturer Codes and export it as TSV. In Cabinet Project, open a catalog quote, tap Paste box list and paste or open that file: quantities, SKUs and hinge sides come in, matched to the line you sell, and any SKU the line does not have is named so you can fix it. The steps are the ones in Cabinet Corp's export guide.
Which one are you looking for?
If you design every kitchen on the desktop and present renders, Design Flex is the tool for that part; if you want one drawing program and nothing else, look at ProKitchen next to Cabinet Project too. If what eats your week is the quote, the order, the missing box and the punch list, that is dealer software. The four kinds of cabinet software are laid out in cabinet estimating software: which kind fits a dealer or installer, and what our drawing does and does not export in kitchen cabinet design software.
