Cabinet software for modular kitchen dealers and installers in India
A modular kitchen dealer in India quotes the same way as one in the US: a brand's price list for carcass and shutters, a dealer discount, a margin on top, then installation. What changes is everything around the numbers: rupees on the quote, GST at 18%, a GSTIN on the invoice, units in metric. Cabinet Project sets those up from your company address, so the first quote already reads right.
What is set for India
| Item | In Cabinet Project |
|---|---|
| Currency | Quotes, orders, invoices and the client portal in Indian rupees |
| Tax | A tax line named GST at 18%, added on top of the price |
| Tax number | Your GSTIN printed on quotes and invoices |
| Units | Metric, in centimetres; feet and inches if you switch |
| Plans | The lower-price list, in US dollars, before GST, once the GSTIN is filled in |
| App | In American English, Spanish and Portuguese, on Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows and the web |
GST on top of the brand's list
Brands publish dealer prices before GST, so Cabinet Project starts every Indian company with GST at 18%, the rate for kitchen cabinets, added on top: the quote shows the price, the GST line and the total your client pays. The rate is yours to change, and it can differ by kind of line, materials, labour, installation and delivery, if part of the job is taxed differently. Your GSTIN goes on the documents next to your company details, and a trade client's GSTIN goes on the invoices you send them. E-invoicing on the GST portal is not here: you raise the e-invoice in your accounting software.
Centimetres or running feet, the same arithmetic
An Indian company starts in metric: the kitchen layout, the walls and the cabinet widths read in centimetres, so a 600 mm base unit is 60 cm and a 3 m run is 300 cm. Many showrooms quote a modular kitchen per running foot; switch the company to inches once in Settings and Price by the foot gives every unit width × your rate per running foot; in centimetres the same tool prices by the metre. The detailed quote is built the same way everywhere: the brand's list price times your discount or multiplier, with your margin on top, plus installation by length or by unit. The math is in how to quote a kitchen with list price × multiplier. You load each brand's list from the PDF, a photo of the page or a CSV; see price list import.
Plans in US dollars, on the lower-price list
Plans are per company, not per seat. India buys from the list for middle- and lower-income countries: Solo for one person is US$29 a month, Team for three is US$49, Shop for five is US$79 and Crew for ten is US$129; an extra seat above Team is US$8. That list opens once your company's GSTIN is filled in; without it, checkout shows the US list. Paying for a year costs ten months. Prices are before GST, every paid plan has the whole workflow, and the 14-day trial needs no card. The plan comparison for every country is on the price list by country.
What you will not find yet
- No Indian brand catalogues preloaded. The shared catalogue holds US lines; you load your brands' price lists yourself from the PDF or CSV.
- No cut list for the carcass. Cabinet Project quotes, orders and installs finished units; panel cutting stays with your factory or carpenter.
- No GST e-invoice or e-way bill. Invoices carry GST and the GSTIN; the portal filings go through your accounting software.
- No payment in rupees for the plan. The plan is charged in US dollars; your clients' quotes and invoices are in rupees.
The rest of the job, from the first visit to the snag list, works the same as in the US; the pages for kitchen showrooms and cabinet installers walk through it.
Questions
Are quotes in rupees?
Yes. A company whose address is in India quotes, orders and invoices in Indian rupees. Your client never sees dollars.
What does the plan cost in India?
India buys from the lower-price list in US dollars, about half the US price, once your company's GSTIN is filled in. Without the GSTIN, checkout shows the US list. Prices are before GST and the 14-day trial needs no card.
Is GST added on top of my prices?
Yes. An Indian company starts with a tax line named GST at 18%, the rate for kitchen cabinets, added on top of the price. You can change the rate, and keep separate rates for materials, labour, installation and delivery.
Can I price by running foot?
Yes. The company measures in centimetres by default; switch it to inches once in Settings and Price by the foot turns your rate per running foot into a price for every unit by its width, the way many modular kitchen showrooms quote.
Is the app in Hindi?
No. The screens are in American English, Spanish and Portuguese. Your own item names, notes and documents are whatever you type.
