A client portal for cabinet jobs: approve, pay and see the kitchen
A cabinet sale stalls between "looks good" and the deposit. The client portal puts the quote, the approval, the payment and the picture of the kitchen behind one link, so the homeowner can say yes from the couch the same evening.
Approving the quote
- One link, no account. The homeowner opens the quote, sees it grouped by wall when it came from the drawing, and downloads the PDF.
- Approval on record. To approve, they give their name and e-mail, accept your terms and sign on the screen. They can also decline. Your cost and multiplier are never in what they see.
- Contracts can be signed the same way, on a computer or on a phone through a QR code, and kept as a PDF.
Getting paid
| Payment | How it works |
|---|---|
| Deposit | Paid by card from the quote link right after approval |
| Invoices | Listed in the portal with the PDF; paid by card online |
| Payment plans | Installments on an invoice; each payment lowers the balance, partial payments included |
| Paid another way | You mark it paid in the app (check, cash, transfer) |
If a quote changes after the deposit, you choose whether the deposit carries over to the new revision or is refunded. With QuickBooks Online connected, invoices and payments sync to your books.
Showing the kitchen
- The design. From the layout editor, "Send to client" saves the 3D view, the plan and each wall elevation as images, and the portal shows them in a "Your kitchen" card next to the quote.
- A render of their own kitchen. The homeowner uploads a photo of their kitchen and picks one of your door styles. The render replaces the cabinet fronts (doors, drawers and end panels of every cabinet) and keeps the countertop, backsplash, floor, walls and appliances. The door styles are your own catalog lines, with the swatch color or door photo you upload.
Renders are counted per company per month by plan, as listed on the pricing table. Free includes a few to try it; Solo, Team, Shop and Crew include more as the plan grows.
What stays with you
The quote's math, the order to the manufacturer and the delivery check stay in the app, not in the portal. The homeowner sees prices, documents, images and what they owe. You see the rest: how the quote was priced, where the boxes are and when the crew goes.
Who uses it
Dealers who sell to homeowners directly use the portal for every job. Installers who work for a dealer often only need the sign-off and the final invoice. See the pages for RTA cabinet dealers and kitchen showrooms.
The portal with card payments is on every paid plan, from $59 a month.
Questions
Does the homeowner need to create an account?
No. The quote arrives as a link: the homeowner opens it, approves with name, e-mail, the terms and a signature, and pays the deposit from the same link. The portal login is by a link sent to their e-mail.
How does the kitchen render work?
The homeowner uploads a photo of their current kitchen and picks one of your door styles. The render changes the cabinet fronts only and keeps the countertop, floor, walls and appliances as they are. Each plan includes a number of renders per month, shown on the pricing table.
Can customers pay by card on the Free plan?
No. Card payments in the portal are on the paid plans; the Free plan is for quick linear foot quotes with a Cabinet Project branded PDF.
