Cabinet Project vs JobTread: price and what each one is built for
JobTread is built for remodelers and builders who run whole projects: estimates, budgets, schedules, documents and customer and vendor portals. A cabinet dealer who also remodels kitchens may compare it with Cabinet Project. They overlap on estimates, portals and invoices; they differ on what the estimate is made of.
Published prices
| Product and plan | Price | Users, per its page |

JobTread's page says there is one plan with every feature, unlimited customer and vendor portal users, no contract or setup fees, 20% off on an annual subscription and a 30-day money-back guarantee on monthly. Extra internal users get cheaper in tiers above ten. Cabinet Project is priced per company with users included per plan; each extra user costs $15/month on the plans from Team up, and paid plans open with a 14-day trial without a card.
Where JobTread is the better tool
- Whole remodels. If you sell full kitchens with plumbing, electrical, flooring and subcontractors, JobTread's budgets, job costing and vendor portals cover the whole project. Cabinet Project covers the cabinets and their install, not a general contractor's job.
- Unlimited portal users for vendors and subcontractors are part of JobTread's plan. Cabinet Project's portal is for the homeowner.
Where Cabinet Project is the better tool
- The estimate starts at the manufacturer's price list. Quote by SKU, cost is list × your multiplier, install labor by linear foot or by box. A general estimate is cost items you type; it does not know that a W3030 is a 30 by 30 wall cabinet in one door style at one list price.
- A kitchen drawing that prices itself. Walls, corners, islands, fillers and appliances, then a quote per wall. See the layout editor.
- Cabinet logistics. The PO to the manufacturer, the delivery check box by box with photos and the claim e-mail for a damaged box. See orders and delivery checks.
- Smaller entry price for a one- or three-person dealer, with a free plan for quick quotes.
Using both
A remodeler who runs projects in JobTread can still quote the cabinets in Cabinet Project and carry the approved total into the project budget. If cabinets are the whole business, one tool is simpler. For the general field-service apps, see Jobber and Housecall Pro next to Cabinet Project.
