Jobber vs Housecall Pro for a cabinet install crew: prices and fit

Published by Design Master Solutions LLC

Jobber and Housecall Pro are the two field-service apps cabinet installers ask about most. Both run quotes, scheduling, invoices and payments for any home-service trade. This post puts their published prices side by side for a small crew, and is plain about what a cabinet job needs that neither one is built for.

Jobber's prices above are for the "Just me" team size; its page reprices every plan when you pick a larger team, so a crew of three or five should read the page with its own team size selected. Housecall Pro includes users in the plan: one on Basic, five on Essentials, eight on Max. Housecall Pro's page offers a 14-day free trial without a credit card.

What each one covers for an install crew

What neither pricing page lists for cabinet work

A cabinet install has steps a general service business does not. Neither Jobber's nor Housecall Pro's pricing page lists these:

Where Cabinet Project fits

Cabinet Project is for dealers and crews whose work is mostly cabinets. It keeps the quote-to-invoice path these apps have, with scheduling, a punch list with photos, invoices, card payments in the customer portal and QuickBooks Online sync, and adds the cabinet part: price lists and multipliers, the layout, the order and the delivery check. It is priced per company, not per seat: Solo is $59 a month for one user, and Team is $99 a month for three, each with a 14-day free trial without a card.

Which one is right depends on the business. A handyman or remodeler doing some cabinets is often better served by a general tool. A crew that installs kitchens every week spends its time on the steps neither general tool lists. See Cabinet Project vs Jobber, Cabinet Project vs Housecall Pro and Cabinet Project for installer crews.
